June was a month packed with exciting opportunities for Team Standley. The women of Standley Systems were thrilled to be invited to the Equilibrium Women's Summit at USAO, where they had the chance to network, learn, and empower each other in a supportive environment. Additionally, the team had a blast taking Big Fred out to the Pro-Am golf tournament hosted by Duncan Regional Hospital on June 11, where some of our team members showed off their skills alongside pro golfer Zak Jones.
The Service Team truly shined during their team-building event at ArtFusion Studio, tapping into their creativity and collaboration to strengthen their bond as a team. The introduction of the Employee of the Month program brought well-deserved recognition to Kursten Burton as the April Employee of the Month and Matt Niles as the May Employee of the Month, highlighting their dedication and hard work.
The pinnacle of June came with the honor of Standley Systems receiving DocuWare's Customer Service Champion Award for 2024. July
July started off with a bang as Standley Systems proudly received recognition as a Top Workplace by The Oklahoman for 2023! We were thrilled to announce Carla Edwards as our June Employee of the Month and launched our exciting Women in Technology blog series. The first installment of this blog series featured Kayeng Thao.
The festivities continued as we brought Big Fred to provide food for everyone attending the Norman Regional Open House & Family Fun Fest, an event celebrating the opening of their new hospital on July 20. Team Standley truly shined at our Q2 Sales Meeting held at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, where we not only discussed our achievements but also engaged in a fun team builder watching the game afterwards.
We took the time to honor the exceptional winners of the 2024 Q2 Shout Out Awards, individuals who exemplify our core values and go above and beyond in their roles every day. As a token of appreciation for their hard work, the Call Center and Meters Teams organized an iced tea social for our dedicated Chickasha Warehouse team, fostering a sense of camaraderie and mutual respect within our organization.
In August, Team Standley continued to foster a sense of community and empowerment. Following our colorful tribute to National Coloring Book Day with Standley-themed pages, we extended our support to the local community by organizing a successful back-to-school drive. Through donations of pens and pencils to the Mid-Del School District, we aimed to equip students with the tools they need for a successful academic year.
Our commitment to highlighting the achievements and contributions of women in technology continued as we showcased Maria Casarez in our second Women in Technology blog feature. This series serves as a platform to amplify the voices and experiences of women in technology roles throughout Team Standley , inspiring and empowering future generations of female tech professionals. This is an ongoing series so keep an eye out for more empowering stories in the future!
As August unfolded, we announced that Deetra Stallings was the July Employee of the Month. We also embraced the lighthearted spirit of National Joke Day, sharing laughter and camaraderie among Team Standley. Lastly, we commemorated Women's Equality Day, reflecting on the day that women gained the right to vote, gaining equality and reaffirming our commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where all team members are valued and respected.
As we look back on the memories and experiences we've shared this year, we are truly grateful for the growth, successes, and bonds we've cultivated as Team Standley. Each event, milestone, and moment of camaraderie has solidified our unity and strengthened our commitment to excellence. We are excited to see what opportunities and challenges the remainder of the year holds for us. The best is yet to come for Team Standley, and we are ready to embrace it with open arms and determined spirits.
