Team Standley Celebrates National Pi Day

Join Team Standley in celebrating National Pi Day!

National Pi Day is an annual celebration on March 14th (3/14) since 3, 1, and 4 are the first three significant figures of pi (3.14). It was founded in 1988 by Larry Shaw, an employee of the Exploratorium, a science museum in San Francisco. Celebrations include eating pie or holding pi recitation competitions. The first recorded official celebration of Pi Day was in 1988 and organized by Larry Shaw. This celebration included the staff marching around one of the museum's circular spaces then eating pies.

Team Standley is celebrating National Pi Day by wearing the official color of Pi Day, purple, and getting together to eat pie at 3:14 on 3/14.
