Team Standley’s October Employee of the Month is Alvan Daniel! Alvan is a Field Service Representative in our North Texas office and has been with Standley Systems for a little over a year. During this time Alvan has demonstrated exceptional technical skills, dedication, and a commitment to giving customers the best experience possible.
As a Field Service Representative, Alvan’s responsibilities include servicing and maintaining multiple lines of equipment. This includes manufacturers such as HP, Toshiba, Kyocera, Xerox, and Ricoh. He also provides service for Fiery which is a popular print management software and other similar products. Alvan’s primary focus and utmost priority is always the customer, ensuring that their needs and concerns are addressed with the highest level of attention and care. He says that his favorite part of his job is “fixing the customer.” He feels a sense of accomplishment when he can get a customer back up and running by the time he leaves the location.
Alvan was born and raised in Chicago where he lived until 1999 when Alvan and his wife decided to move their family to Richardson, Texas. Alvan says that raising his three daughters and two sons plus thirty-two years of marriage has truly been a blessing. Through all the adversity he has faced in his life, he has managed to receive an associate’s degree in electronics and a bachelor’s degree in management. When Alvan isn’t spending time with his family or out getting a customer up and running again, he enjoys golfing, chess, working out, and shooting pool.
